Cllr Alan Bell
Councillor for Fenside Ward - Boston Borough Council

My name is Alan Bell, I live in Boston with my partner Chris, between us we have four daughters and one son.
I was a Labour County Councillor in Nottinghamshire between 2013-2017 the position I held was that of Vice-chair of Adult Social Care and Health.
My employment background is as follows, I was a miner, for over twenty-five years. After the mines closed I was employed by Mansfield District Council as a support worker, while also being branch secretary of Unison
A lot of you have met me on the doors already on Fenside. What I will bring to this are is the knowledge of working with an authority to get the best for the area I represent.
As a Labour Co-op Councillor, I will work at addressing some of the issues raised by the local residents which are lack of CCTV coverage, poor street lighting, anti-social behaviour. I have already been involved with the clearing fly-tipping from the area.
I will make sure a connection with the local community was maintained. I will hold surgery’s locally. This would make sure local contact was always maintained.
